This weeks review is for all those tea lovers and health conscience readers out there. We were sent a selection of Health/Herbal teas from 247 Health. The teas are all natural, they contain no preservatives, colours or anything nasty at all. You can be assured you’re getting a good quality tea if you decide to try them.
I love a good cup of tea so was happy to review the tea from 247 Health. They have a lovely range of herbal teas including the Natural Green Tea and Lemongrass, the two teas we got to review.
The first tea I got to review was the Natural Green Tea. I’ve had some good and bad green tea so was looking forward to testing the Onno Behrends brand. It was a bagged tea and I steeped it for the recommended 3 minutes. The colour was very appealing and the aroma was very subtle. Nothing is added to the Natural Green Tea. The pureness of this tea shows up in the ingredients, as it contains only green tea leaves. No preservatives. No colours. Nothing. Just green tea leaves. Because of this I really didn't expect much for the taste of this tea as nothing was added to the tea to give it a little extra flavour. I also thought this because of the rather weak aroma of the tea leaves before I steeped them. However, this wasn’t the case. This really is a nice, light tasting green tea that was very refreshing. The Lemongrass tea tasted strong after the green tea but really nice. I then left it to cool and found this herbal tea is one of the rare few that's equally delicious hot or cold. Very nice tea.
I’m a green tea drinker so I was excited to test the Onno Behrend brand tea from 247 Health. I usually use loose leaf tea so was curious about the taste of the bagged tea. My last experience with bagged green tea wasn’t pleasant because it tasted very bitter. The Natural Green tea I reviewed was very nice, not bitter at all. I did steep the tea for just over 3 minutes and it was clear and lightly scented. I’d say this is a green tea that tastes exactly as advertised, refreshing. A very good green tea for tea drinkers searching for a natural green tea with nothing added and that still tastes good.
I also tested the Lemongrass tea and found this tea much more refreshing and tasty than the green tea, green tea has many health benefits and that’s why I choose to drink it but the lemongrass tea was so lovely in flavour that I will be adding it to my tea collection. It is recommended to take when you have cold or flu symptoms and I can see why, it leaves your head feeling clear and revitalised. It did this for me even though I didn’t have a cold. I would highly recommend both teas but particularly the Lemongrass tea because it was just so revitalising.
I reviewed the Rosehip tea and the Ginger Lemon Boost tea, both of which I had never tried before.
The Rosehip Tea was gorgeous from the minute I poured the hot water into my cup. It gave off a subtle smell but the look was amazing; a deep red colour. Amazing to think this product has no artificial colours at all! I found this tea to be a little tangy but I didn't add any sugar to it. One thing I did try though was the Rosehip tea cold over ice and once with a dash of lemonade, Yum. (Probably took the health factor away though.)
To me the Ginger Lemon Boost tea had the 'classic' smell of herbal tea which is something I love. I'm not a fan of ginger at all but was willing to give this tea a try in hope it wasn't too 'gingery'. I was pleasently surprised, there was only a hint of ginger and a hint of lemon but enough that you could enjoy and recognise both those flavours. I’m now convinced it probably isn’t that difficult to be a little healthier everyday if I just swap my black tea for one of the herbal teas from Onno Behrends.
247 Health as sell a range of other products such as balsamic vinegars, a detox program and fun little products such as stress balls. We all love their tea and definitely think 247 Health is the one stop shop for all your health and herbal teas!
