A review for the kids this week from SMARTY ARTY Glow-In-The-Dark Sand Art Skeletons! The kids will love making these for a Halloween treat!

sand art skeletons-500x500

The kit comes complete with everything you need to make your own glow in the dark skeleton.

Get ready for some bone rattling fun! These skeletons are so easy to make – just peel the adhesive from the skeleton shapes and sprinkle on the colored sand! You’ll need a bit of patience peeling off the stickers and I’d recommend using a pin and tweezers for a good outcome. The kit includes the cardboard skeleton shape, 2 packets of colored sand, one black and one green and a wooden craft stick.

hw2 CollageThe raw material of “Glow in the Dark Sand” is not different from the regular coloured sand other than it includes phosphor to make it glow.
The sand, which looks "white" in the daylight, will glow as "green" in the dark. 2 hours in the daylight will be enough for the sand to glow in the dark.

The kids will have fun creating this craft but it’s not for the very young as it’s just too intricate – the young ones could sprinkle the sand over though! They recommend it for ages 3 and up.

hw1colageThis would be a great little activity while camping and to keep the kids occupied in the dark.
