Now days, most of us are well aware of the negative impact chemicals, such as colourings and preservatives can have on our bodies. When it comes to our children I would say most of us are even more conscience of what we allow them to be lathered in, moisturised with and even wear. Well, an Adelaide mother of 2 young children has taken all this into account and created a fun range of children’s natural play makeup; Pure Poppet.
The Pure Poppet products are not about teaching little girls about make-up but all about imagination and helping them create the characters they want to be. With five vibrant coloured mineral powders, 2 lip balms, a floral spray and the application tools, your little one is going to have many, many days of fun creating different characters and scenarios to keep their imagination alive.
‘As I was watching my daughter apply her ‘princess makeup’; a bit of blush on her cheeks, some blue eye shadow, applied her strawberry lip balm and proceeded to lick her lips. It was at that point I really realised how delicate and precious her skin and body is. Licking her lips, just a slight way to ingest the product with the rest soaking into her lips, small amounts of dust landing in and around her eyes and her skin absorbing more of the colourful powdered products through her pores all over her face. (Had this not been Pure Poppet’s natural play makeup she was using I think I would have scared myself into ending all the fun.) Who knows what chemicals are in our ‘regular’ makeup the kids play with and what type of effect they can have on a child of such a young age. I now think it is an absolutely great idea and am very glad someone has created such a safe product for the kids to play with.’
‘With such sensitive skin my daughter doesn’t really have the option to play with my makeup. When I heard Aussie Product Review had Pure Poppet kits to review I thought we should give it a try. Ms Sarah is 7 and would love to cover herself in makeup but with all the ‘bad’ ingredients it makes her skin red, blotchy and sometimes itchy, plus if it’s oil based we have to wash her face very well which can also irritate her skin. Pure Poppet was a dream come true for Ms Sarah! We had makeup everywhere and no irritations, she had an absolute ball. She was very happy it was shimmery too. We loved that we could add a bit of water to the mineral powders and draw pictures too. When it came to cleaning up, although she didn’t want to, it washed off very easily with warm water and a facecloth.
What child doesn’t love to use their imagination and created wonderful characters to keep themselves busy for hours? Pure Poppet is safe product which your child can use as a tool to help them create their dream characters, just like the play clothes they dress in. Free of talc, artificial dyes, mineral oils, paraben preservatives and many more nasties, your children can dress up everyday without a worry to you! 🙂
