This is a beautiful natural wood polish that leaves wooden furniture hydrated, protected and smelling wonderful!
- ½ cup sweet almond oil
- ⅛ cup of grated beeswax
- 10-15 drops essential oil (Try lemon, lavender or rosewood)
In a pan over hot water, heat almond oil and beeswax until all the beeswax has melted.
Wax can vary in hardness, so I recommend testing it before adding the essential oil. Simply take a teaspoon and dip it in the oil/wax mixture. Place the spoon on some newspaper and allow to cool completely. If it is too soft, add a little bit more wax to the mixture and melt completely. If it is too hard, add a bit more oil. It should be firm enough to dip a cloth into and rub across the top, but soft enough to give and melt a bit on contact. Once the desired consistency is achieved, add about 10 – 15 drops of essential oil and stir well. Pour it into a widemouth glass jar and allow to cool before using.
Take a small amount of polish and rub into your wooden furniture. Use circular motions to rub into the wood and then buff with a clean dry cloth.
